Conway Chamber of Commerce

Project Overview

The Conway Chamber of Commerce needed a design that would capture the history and character of the city in a way that could be shared and worn. The goal was to create a one-color illustration that felt meaningful, recognizable, and rooted in Conway’s identity. The final concept brought together a collection of key landmarks into a cohesive line-art cityscape that tells a broader story of the community.

What started off as a sketching idea turned into a beautifully detailed city scape. Below you can see how a few of the buildings evolved

My Role

I illustrated five historic Conway landmarks with careful attention to detail so each building would be instantly recognizable: St. Joseph Cathedral, the Halter Building, Old Main at UCA, the Hendrix Bell, and Central Baptist College.

I then brought the full composition together as a unified scene, incorporating elements like park benches, streetlights, trees, roads, and birds to add depth and a sense of place while maintaining a clean, single-color line style.

Outcome

The final design was met with an overwhelmingly positive response. The Chamber loved how the illustration felt cohesive and thoughtfully composed, while still highlighting the individuality of each landmark. It captured the spirit of Conway in a way that felt both historic and approachable, making it a strong piece for community engagement and merchandise.

Project secured through Kara Darling Creative. Full creative direction and execution by Elizabeth Hubbard Designs.
